If your an inside person who just wants to lounge around all day and sleep, maybe a cat is better for you. If you want to go outside and go to the park and play with your dog, a dog is a better choice for you. Cats seem to be lower maintence than dogs, dogs have to go on walks, get the attention,etc. Most cats just want their food and to find a nice warm spot to go to to sleep.Some cats don't even want to be bothered at all.Like I said it depends on your personality.
