Q. Why have you let so many spammers and advertisers in the chat rooms. You use to just get to chat with real people, cant you screen these people out so that we can go back to good old chatting.

A. Has your request to join a chat room been refused? Yahoo restricts the chat rooms to those who are 18 years of age or older. This is to protect minors because chat rooms are not safe places. If this is not the reason you are getting the refusal message then it could be a server problem and it is best to just try again later. There is nothing you can do about server problems. Maybe try another Yahoo ID.

how do i create my own chatroom? when i select messenger and scroll down to chat create a room is grayed out?

A. Actually, clearing your message won't delete it (as I'm sure you found out, Mark). In fact, as far as I can tell there IS no deleting these status messages. You just keep making new ones and the old ones simply remain there gathering dust. Right now I must have 12-14 status messages, a few are there just because I thought when I reached 10, the oldest would disappear, but no such luck. As long as I'm not stopped from making new ones, it doesn't really matter to me. But it does seem a waste of memory, holding on to so many messages. Yeah, let's get this over with so I can send this in to Staff, I know one of these fans is one of some one's multiple accounts and I want the world to know!!!

How I can eanble the "call Computer" button on yahoo messenger chat window.?
Q. Ican,t see the "call computer button" on the yahoo messenger chat window.This happens with one of my friend who is on my list and when he is on line. Even I can,t Buzz him. That is also disabled. Is there a chat messenger service that allows video chat between a Mac and a PC?
Q. I haven't been able find one. Windows live & Google Talk only work with PCs and Yahoo Messenger has a new program for Macs, but you can only video chat with other Macs and the PC user can see the Macs video but the Mac user cannot see the PCs video. Is there a video chat program that works with PCs & Macs?

Why am I getting an error message when I click the verification link to enter a chat room in messenger?

IE6 and IE7 are slightly different so do this ...open control panel / network and internet connections / internet options icon / programs tab ... click the reset websettings button then check make IE my default browser ... if you don't see a reset websettings button you have IE7 ... click Make Default on the programs tab and then go to advanced tab and click the reset button or instead of using messenger ... ... have you ever heard of 3rd party chat clients for use on yahoo ? ... these chat programs are written by actual chat user ... mostly from Yahoo Chat Help:1 ... no ad banners / free / boot proof and loaded with options these free chats are more stable then messenger… [cont.]
