Is anyone surprised that conservatives appose public health care?
Q. Didn't they appose public schools, public libraries, public fire departments, public police, public roads, Social Security and Medicare? Poor people may be needed to provide cheap labor but why not just let them die when they get sick?

A. Everybody who is opposing it are people who HAVE health care and health insurance. They don't have to worry about how they are going to afford to go to the doctor or what they are going to do if they are sick. Even though my husband is a 100% disabled Iraq war veteran and has VA coverage, our 4 year old son is on a 2+ year waiting list for medi-cal or any kind of public health care and they want $1,500 a month for me to get medi-cal/ IEHP( california's medicaid ) . Even if my family could afford private insurance ( we can't by the way ) I have what preexisting conditions that disqualify me from getting any insurance. So we are SOL. I have to pay $60 to see a doctor and more money on top of that for meds. Thank goodness for walmart's… [cont.]
