Why does it matter if Obama raises taxes on the wealthy?
Q. Considering that most corporations and ultra-wealthy use loopholes written in the tax code to avoid paying their share of taxes, why does it even matter if Obama raises taxes on them? If the loopholes aren't closed they will not even pay much, if any, more taxes that they are currently. Obama's tax plan, from what I have seen so far, does nothing to close the loopholes to corporations that exploit the tax code and/or ship jobs overseas for an added tax break. Is all his talk of increasing taxes just hot air?

A. Um, 2/3 of corporations don't pay ANY taxes, even the multi-billion dollar ones, and even still qualify for tax rebates. That is one big loophole to fix.
