A social network is a social structure made of individuals (or organizations) called "nodes," which are tied (connected) by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship, kinship, common interest, financial exchange, dislike, sexual relationships, or relationships of beliefs, knowledge or prestige. Social network analysis views social relationships in terms of network theory consisting of nodes and ties. Nodes are the individual actors within the networks, and ties are the relationships between the actors. The resulting graph-based structures are often very complex. There can be many kinds of ties between the nodes. Research in a number of academic fields has shown that social networks operate on many levels, from families up to the level of nations, and play a critical role in determining the way problems are solved, organizations are run, and the degree to which individuals succeed in achieving their goals. In its simplest form, a social network is a map of all of the relevant ties between all the nodes being studied. The network can also be used to measure social capital -- the value that an individual gets from the social network. These concepts are often displayed in a social network diagram, where nodes are the points and ties are the lines. From Wikipedia under the

There have been these social networks that says to pay you for having referrals or memberships to their social network or website. But some of them doesn't really pay you. Can you tell me the best networks? Asked by CessGalvan - Mon Apr 6 23:50:26 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yes there are some. And they pay really good. Some are General themed Social Networks, Some are Adult Social Networks. Some even pay $3 - $5 for every free membership. And you don't need to pay anything to join them. All you need is an email address, and payment solutions such as paypal and epassporte accounts to receive payments. I know some of the best that has paid millions of dollars already to its members. What social networks do you use to promote your business opportunity and which ones are giving you the best results? Asked by janethawley - Wed Sep 17 13:22:26 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. membership clubs, lodges and associations do work, like: P T A, moose, elks, masons, kiwanis, rotary, yacht clubs, tennis associations, golf clubsand yes especially church. Where ever you are a member. You should always sit, meet and talk to someone new (especially if the one you usually sit with isn't spending any money in your business) at every monthly meeting and give them your card. if you are a retailer hand write a 20% discount on the back before handing it to them. personalizing it, if it's a service you own, handwrite a 20% off next work order. I can not tell you how much business I have written with people I met at a function, meeting or outing and after exchanging cards later I went to meet them professionally at their work.
